What to Expect.

At Christ the Redeemer Church, we practice a form of liturgy known as covenant renewal service. Besides providing a worshipful tone, a covenant renewal service explicitly recognizes our covenant relationship with the Lord and our fervent desire to be continually renewed in our relationship with the Lord.

There are a variety of people who attend Christ the Redeemer Church, so there are a variety of dress styles, from business-formal to casual, and that is fine. At the same time, we encourage those who attend to choose clothing styles that show honor and respect to the God we gather to worship rather than styles that are designed to attract attention to ourselves.

The service is responsive and participatory. Throughout the service, the Lord initiates and His people respond to the His leading. All the people of God who are capable respond to Lord through song, responsive reading, prayer, affirmations (such as a corporate amen) and discussion.

Children and Worship.

We hold that families should worship together as a family unit if possible (Deuteronomy 31:11-13, Matthew 21:15). Accordingly, we try to organize our main worship and church activities so that all ages can participate together and children as well as adults can learn from the Bible together. Child care helpers are available, and they can help prepare children over time to join the congregation in worship.
